How to schedule exercise – work-outs routines & splits

Bookmark and Share

A workout routine means how many sets, how many reps etc. that you perform for each muscle. For ex., three sets of the Horizontal Bench Press, Three sets on the Slant Bench Press, and Two sets of Horizontal Bench Dumbbell Flyes is a model of one of the many Chest Weightlifting Exercise Routines.

What Do You Mean By Work-Out Split?
A workout split is a term expresses how you expand your exercise. What you have to do regarding muscle on what day. For ex., On Monday, work-out on biceps back and legs, and on Thursday, work-out on triceps shoulders and chest is a Workout Split. Here I have mentioned you some sample workout routines, which I use, and tell you how to create your own exercise schedule.

Keep In Mind:
Every chest and shoulder work-out affects on the triceps secondary. And almost every back work-out affects the biceps secondary.

So, you would need to do One of Three things when creating your exercise schedule and splits:
• Do the chest, triceps and shoulders work-outs on the same day, and do biceps and back work-outs on the same day.
• For ex., if you did Chest Monday, Then do triceps on Wednesdays, and Friday for shoulders and Monday biceps + chest, and back on Wednesday or Friday.
• I personally used this structure for work-outs. On Monday I work-out on chest and triceps, and Thursday on shoulders, and work-out back and biceps on Friday.

I am mentioning here are a Few Sample Schedule used by Top Level Body-Builder:
Monday - Chest /Triceps Work-Out
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Biceps/Back Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Thursday - Rest
Friday - Shoulders/Legs Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Monday - Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Shoulders/Legs Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Thursday - Rest
Friday - Back/Triceps Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Monday - Chest/Back Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Tuesday - Shoulders Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Biceps/Triceps Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Friday - Legs Chest/Triceps Work-Out
Saturday – Rest
Sunday - Rest

Remember, these are just sample schedule considering peoples timing. Means, some people choose to work-out on the weekends, and I do not work-out on weekend. So in the entire example I mentioned weekend as Rest days. It all depends on what time you are preferring for work-outs so you can choose what timing you are preferring for work-outs, not splits you have to use.
